CETA special projects unit contract files, 1982-1983.

The ADECA Employment and Training Division was responsible for the administration of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) before the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) superseded it in 1983. This series is composed of the daily operating paperwork created during the implementation of Special Design Contracts. These contracts were devised to ease the transition from the classroom to the workplace for high school students in select schools who planned to work after graduation. The files contain memorandums to schools about the contracts, directions for filing reports, copies of the contracts, and correspondence with the schools.
